The last year has been like no other. A year where communities all over have faced constant uncertainty, challenges and struggles. An ongoing pandemic which has resulted in many families feeling the hardship of day-to-day challenges.
Some of the biggest heroes during this time are our children. Their whole lives have been turned upside down with rules they have never known and a life they could never have imagined.
With families struggling all over the country, Eid may be a daunting thought for many as the Covid-19 pandemic has affected lives in different ways with many finding themselves in a very different situation – physically, emotionally, financially.
We want to help ease this burden and bring a smile on the faces of thousands of children up and down the country.
The Eid Toy Appeal 2021 is raising funds to make sure no vulnerable child goes without a gift this Eid. £10.00 of your donation will go to providing toys for children who might not otherwise receive a gift this Eid.
Some of those that will be supported are:
- Children with have chaotic home lives with domestic violence and substance misuse a regular occurrence.’
- Families whose loved ones are in hospice for end of life care.’
- Children and young people who care for a member of their family at home, many come from families who are financially disadvantaged.’
If you know of any families struggling during this difficult period and whose children would benefit from this appeal, then please follow the link below and complete the referral form.
