This January marks a proud milestone as we celebrate 6 years since the establishment of Benefit Mankind. As CEO, and on behalf of our trustees, I wish to express my deepest gratitude to every volunteer, donor, partner and supporter who has stood by us on this journey. Your loyalty, compassion and belief in our mission have enabled us to reach those in need at home and across the world, often in their darkest hours.

The past 6 years have brought extraordinary challenges: global pandemics, rising living costs, wars, and natural disasters that have shaken communities and nations. Yet through it all, Benefit Mankind has remained committed to one guiding purpose, to serve humanity, protect dignity, and deliver aid with speed, sincerity and excellence.

Here in the UK, we continue to strengthen our local work – supporting struggling families, empowering women, educating young minds, aiding orphans, widows and the homeless, combating domestic violence, protecting our environment, and offering cost-of-living assistance. These efforts reflect who we are: a charity built not only to help globally, but to look after our neighbours and uplift our local communities. Caring for those closest to us, our neighbours, streets and towns is the foundation of a society rooted in compassion and justice.

Across the globe, Benefit Mankind has reached over 20 countries, with our crisis response team delivering emergency support within 24 hours and often on the ground within 24 hours. Over the last year alone, we provided life-saving aid in major disasters including the earthquake in Myanmar, floods in Sri Lanka, Pakistan and India, emergency humanitarian response in Sudan, and ongoing relief in the Middle East for displaced families and displaced families. Our teams continue to serve displaced families, refugees and victims of disaster, with the sole aim of benefiting mankind.

Since inception, Benefit Mankind has delivered over £20 million in humanitarian aid worldwide, a testament to our growth, impact, and the trust placed in us. We are honoured that our work has been recognised through awards and long-standing partnerships, including serving as the official charity partner of Blackburn Rovers Football Club for 5 consecutive seasons.

As we move forward, I encourage you all to continue spreading compassion, not only to distant lands, but to those beside us and around us. Let us support one another, strengthen community bonds, care for our environment, and always act with the intention to benefit humanity.
